A Parisian-inspired kitchen crafted for Petra Tungården in Stockholm.
An ode to Bugatti Hermès where couture curves meet architectural precision.
La Courbe
Stockholm, Sweden
A poetic interplay between Parisian elegance and automotive artistry, La Courbe is a kitchen sculpted for Petra Tungården in the heart of Stockholm. Inspired by the timeless curves of the Bugatti Hermès, every line and material selection in this kitchen reflects the same dedication to performance, luxury, and form.
At the center, a custom arched backsplash and shelf in bookmatched Calacatta Viola marble becomes a commanding work of art, framed like a sculpture. The marble continues seamlessly into a fully integrated sink and extends across the island, creating a cohesive flow of veining that anchors the room.
The kitchen balances hard and soft through its material palette: solid oak detailing with soft radii, a brass plinth grounding the island, and 5-layer hand-painted fronts in 24mm thickness offering both durability and depth.
Behind the bespoke double arch cabinetry lies a hidden fridge and freezer, elegantly concealed with custom-fabric panels and an innovative hinge system engineered specifically for this project allowing smooth operation of 5cm thick curved doors, a technical feat in itself.
Every element is tailored: from the hand-crafted wine drawer in solid oak, to the custom joinery and curved cabinetry, this space is not only built to function but to inspire.
