Atelier Serene
Stockholm, Sweden
In the heart of Stockholm, Atelier Serene stands as a testament to sculptural precision and refined materiality. The centerpiece is an expansive walnut island spanning over 4 meters, curved with architectural intention and crafted entirely from solid and veneered American walnut. Its organic form evokes the language of Scandinavian modernism softened geometry, honest materials, and fluid transitions executed with contemporary joinery precision.

Taj Mahal quartzite elegantly wraps the countertop and backsplash. Its soft, clouded veining and warm luminosity complement the dark wood grain, with mitered corners and softened radii reinforcing the monolithic yet welcoming character of the island.

Flanking the main axis of the space are custom vitrines rising to 3200mm, internally dressed in walnut and encased in bronze-tinted glass with integrated lighting. These act as architectural columns within the space both functional storage and illuminated sculpture.

Opposite the island, matte lacquered fronts sit quietly beneath a floating walnut shelf. The linear contrast between the shelf’s warmth and the lacquer’s restraint nods to minimalist interiors while embracing material tactility. Joinery detailing is precise: from recessed shadow lines to edge profile transitions, every element is intentional.

The kitchen features a Bora Professional 3.0 cooktop in matte black, seamlessly integrated into the quartzite surface. This bold, graphic gesture grounds the space while offering high-performance functionality.

With proportions, surfaces, and transitions studied like architecture, this kitchen is not merely bespoke it is composed.
